What makes someone a human is the individuality that is allowed by being a human. Human's are capable of determining that they are human and what makes them human. Humans are all different through expression and individuality which allows for deviation in the human race and, through that, a greater understanding of what it is to be human. The college student who wanted to be impregnated by a chimpanzee expressed the individuality of that human, even if radically so. She had a desire and although it wasn't natural or even common amongst humans, for her it's what made her an individual and a human. Rock on girl.

I think that if we were to accept the existence of God then we should also be able to play God for he would have provided us with the intelligence and capabilities to create such great things and not to abuse that privilege would be more wrong. As long as your morals remain true and you have no intent of harming another of God's creatures, I think it's respectable to create things that can be compared to God's creations and really rather beneficial.
