Patient Iago has been diagnosed with an antisocial personality disorder. He has portrayed many symptoms that would make it apparent that he is indeed suffering from a mental dysfunction that causes him to act in a disorderly and inappropriate manner. The evidence below should provide strong support to the fact that he is a psychopath and should have measures executed on him

    • Irritability and Aggressiveness
      • Iago commits the murder of Rodrigo and has possesses no remorse or shame
    • Deceitfulness
      • Iago abuses Othello and convinces him that his wife, Desdemona, is cheating on him, which leads to her eventual murder by Othello
    • Lack of Remorse
      • Iago laughs maniacally at inappropriate times such as the suicide of Othello, portraying that he finds the death of another man humorous and entertaining. He has no shame and does not attempt to cover his expressions toward these occurrences, strongly supporting the hypothesis of an extreme social anxiety disorder.

What I suggest we do in regard to the mental state of Iago is retain him in a facility where he will not be of harm to others. Allowing him to remain with people in public would certainly be a security issue and may lead to other problems. If he is treated in a facility there is a slight but little possibility of recovery, but more importantly he will not cause pain to others as its apparent he is willing to do.
